My complete name is Ariel Elias Salaverria,
I'm a knifemaker from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I made my first knife when I was 12 years old in 1977 and since then
I was hooked on this career.
Later on I worked as a mechanic in diesel locomotives, in electric
facilities and artistic bladesmithing shops among other places, but
I always made the time to keep making knives.
I also took all oportunities I had to learn new methods and techniques
to apply them to my knife making career.
After many years of making knives part time, in 2002 I decided to
start working as a full time knifemaker thanks to the continue support
I get from my customers.
Professional knifemaking takes a lot of work and effort, but it's
a very exciting and rewarding job.
In 2004 I started to venture in the online knife community and this many
years later, I still can't believe all the praises about my work I've
been getting from folks worldwide.
