My complete name is Ariel Elias Salaverria (AES), I'm a knifemaker from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I made my first knife when I was 12 years old in 1977 and since then I was hooked on this career. Later on I worked as a mechanic in diesel locomotives, in electric facilities and artistic bladesmithing shops among other places, but I always made the time to keep making knives.
I also took all oportunities I had to learn new methods and techniques to apply them to my knife making career.

I do take orders for custom work. If you’d like to inquire about a custom order, just
email me with a picture of something you’d like and we’ll go from there. As of August 2026 waiting times are a couple of months, perhaps less for smaller jewelry items.
